Service 02No Lead Left Hanging
Missed calls stop turning into lost jobs.
You're on a roof and the phone rings. Instead of voicemail and a customer who moves on, they get a text within seconds saying you'll call right back. A form gets an instant email, plus a text if they checked the box asking for one. They stop shopping around and wait for you.
- What changes
- Missed calls stay your customers.
- Your part
- A short call and a test run. I handle the setup and the carrier approval for texting.
- Works with
- Your phone, your forms, your words.
The problem
Voicemail is where jobs go to die.
Most people don't leave a message. They hang up and call the next contractor on the list. A form sent at 9pm is the same: if nobody answers until morning, they've booked someone else by breakfast.
You can't answer every call from a job site, and you shouldn't have to. You just need them to know you got it and you're coming.
How it works
They hear back before they dial the next number.
-
010:00
A call goes unanswered.
You're on a job, it's after hours, or you're already on the phone. Same for a form that comes in at night.
-
02Seconds later
They hear back right away.
A text after a missed call, in your words: you got their call and you'll be right with them. Forms get an email, and a text if they opted in.
-
03You call back
They wait for you.
They know you're coming, so they stop calling around. Their reply lands on your phone, and you call back knowing what the job is.
What you get
Callers hear back, even when you can’t pick up.
- Missed calls get a text within seconds, from a local number set up and registered just for your business.
- Forms get an email right away, and a text when the person checks the box asking for texts.
- Their reply comes straight to your phone, so you know the job before you call.
- A texting opt-in box on your form, unchecked and optional, so only people who ask for texts get them.
- Every word written in your voice and approved by you before it goes live.
Hi, this is Mike with [Your Company]. Sorry I missed you, I'm on a job right now. What can I help with? I'll call you back shortly. Reply STOP to opt out.
Hi! Water coming up through the floor by the water heater. Need someone this week.
Sent to Mike’s phoneSample wording. Yours is written with you, in your voice, and nothing goes out until you sign off.
Questions
Do customers have to agree to get texts?
For forms, yes. The text only goes out if they check the box asking for texts, which starts unchecked and isn't required. Everyone who fills out the form still gets the email. The missed-call text is a single reply to someone who just called you.
What number does the text come from?
A local number set up just for your business and registered with the phone carriers, which is what gets business texts delivered. It isn't your main line. When customers reply, it comes straight to you.
What does the message say?
Whatever you want it to. We write it together in your voice, and nothing goes live until you've signed off on every word.
